Another difficult game for Penlan away to Brynamman on Saturday that saw the team work until the final whistle despite their struggle with missing players. The game resulted in the home side earning a bonus point win with four converted tries, two in either half. At half time it was a close 14 - 10 lead for Brynamman with Penlan's points coming from a Dafydd Pritchard try, converted by full back Paul Spowart who also slotted a penalty. By 30 minutes into the second half Brynamman had sealed their win with the two tries to give them 28 points but Penlan's constant work earned them a try in the dying seconds from Paul Spowart to give them 15 points. It is barren time for Penlan at the moment but the team pride and grit continues to earn the respect of their supporters. Next week Penlan will be home to Cwmgors and with the home advantage they will be hoping to put an end to their losing run.
